3 people in 8 weeks

by Kim

I lost one of my best young friends, confidants, and colleague, on Sept 17 to lung cancer after 4 years.
I lost my 2nd dad, the guy who thought I could do anything and always helped me, on Oct 21st to lung cancer after 2 years of battle.
I lost my only aunt, a tough woman to be sure. But the only aunt I've ever had and the last female link to my dads family, to colon cancer on nov 11th after just a few months of illness.
Some days I'm numb, sometimes really sad. Always exhausted and confused.

Kim I am sorry for your loss of 3 people from your life in such a short space of time. You could benefit from seeing a grief counsellor and try and work through each loss and what it has meant to you losing each of these people. sometimes it can get all tangled up and difficult to process to work through. This is where a good professional can help.
It is normal to feel confused and lack energy. Grief can make the body feel all beaten up. I took to the couch for 6 months unable to do anything and I let TV. bathe may sorrows and help me cope. I also nurtured myself through my grief and this helped me. but grief is a process and you have to let it unfold as it will. the secret is TAKING ONE DAY AT A TIME. this is I coped and still cope now after 18 months of losing my husband to cancer. Once you accept grief and work through it's complex stages you will start to recover. But it is a slow process. Treat yourself extra special at this time. IT DOES HELP.

And how couldn't you be beat up right now

I've heard it said that God doesn't give us what we can't take.

You have to be some kind of tough!

God bless and take care, and my most sincere condolences.
