A daughter's first anniversary prayer

by Jillian

Can you hear my anguish, as I cry each night ?
Can you hear me agree, your wise words, were so right ?

I knew that your smile could heal any pain
I knew you never wanted to leave, but remain

Your warm embrace and inspirational ways
Your presence,a priviledge, those blessed days.

Thank you

Dear Doreen, So nice to hear from you again.

Thank you for your kind message. Yes, a year has passed for us both now, but the grief is constant.

Your husband's memorial sounds like it is so appropriate for the wonderful man he was. Your children are blessed to be from a union where their parents shared such love.

I read your words on the site - they are penned with such thought, born out of true concern.

With kindest regards, Jillian.

A daughter's first anniversary prayer
by: Doreen U.K.

Hi Jillian. Thank you for sharing this memorial to your beloved mum.
I hope all is well with you and your brother. It has been a long time I have written to you via email. But I haven't forgotten you. I think of you OFTEN and wonder how you are doing under the circumstances, of us all being in the same place of deep loss. I can't believe I also got through the first anniversary of my husband's death. I feel more at peace having put together his memorial gravestone. It somehow tidies up things. Life is much the same. Going through each day with relief for having seen the day through to conclusion. I don't look too far ahead but just greatful for getting through the first year. I don't have to revisit the last year thing about remembering what took place that previous year. I look forward now as that is all any of us can do. But the memories will always remain CLEAR and FOREVER.
Best wishes Doreen.
