A Place I Can Not See

by Becky Weems

Mother, Mother where can you be?
For not so long ago you left me for a place I can not see.
They say you walk on streets of gold,
And that you will never grow weary and old.
There is no pain nor sadness, you will never cry.
A place of health, you will never die.
Always brightness, always light
Never darkness, never night
Forever happy and always well
A place called heaven is where you dwell.
Our Creator you get to meet
As you sing praises and bow humbly at His feet.
Walking in gardens of beauty untold,
The magnificence of this kingdom your eyes behold.
The voice of Jesus you get to hear,
The shouting of angels as they cheer.
Above the stars in heaven you patiently wait
To see your Becky walk thru the Pearly Gates.
I do not know when this day will be
But some day this place I will finally see.
Mother and daughter for all eternity,
This place called heaven is where I will be.

Silver, With faith you never walk alone. A friend gave me a music box with these words wrote on it. These words have given me much comfort. God speaks to us in so many ways. I am so sorry that you have lost your Mother and your sister. I can't imagine the hurt you have in your heart. We can look forward to our day in heaven when we are reunited with our loved ones. Do you ever listen to Mercy Me. They have two songs that give me comfort, "I Can Only Imagine" (talks about what it will be like when we meet Jesus), and I can only imagine what it will be like when I get to see my Mother again. Their other song is "Move". It says there will be brighter days for I am not here to stay. You will be kept in my prayers.

Hi Doreen, you are so right about us having faith. With faith you will nevet walk alone. I still can not believe my mother is gone. I miss and hurt for her constantly. Thank you for the much needed encouragement. I know that I will see her again some day. What rejoicing that will be.

This was a beautiful poem.It hit my heart. My mother died June 2010.I think of her that way.I too believe I will see her again one day.It ironic but my baby sister was named Becky also. Momma joined her in June just after my sister would have been 53.She died at 44 yrs old.I also write poetry and it helps. I hope it helps you as well.I keep us all in my prayers.GOD send you strength and peace.

Becky thank you for your lovely memorial to your mother. It is a very inspirational piece full of Comfort and Hope. We all will go to a place we cannot see, but accept by Faith that we are all kept safe in the arms of God till we are all united again. This is our Eternal Hope, and is what will keep us going each day of our lives here on earth. Best wishes.
