always and forever i love you daddy :)

by hannah daly
(england)

mascara trickles down her soft blushed cheek
tonight she cannot sleep,
she starts to wonder where things went wrong
when she had to learn to be strong.

remembering her dad's funny laugh
whilst she stares at his photograph,
trying to forget that stale scent of beer
but still wishing he was here.

her mind begins to wonder again
away from that frozen pain,
she thinks about her knickname princess
and how her dad said she was nothing less.

smiling about the old times
all those little nursery rhymes,
that her proud daddy sang
6pm always on a sunday the phone once rang.

she whispers " always and forever i love you"
she somehow will never forget their motto,
laying on her soft cusioned bed
thoughts start disappearing from her head.

she softly closes her red teary eyes
and forgets all those broken promises and lies,
under her breath she says " goodnight dad
and all those good times we had ".

my father
by: Danya

I lost my father in June. I understand your pain. Last night, I wrote this....

Rejoice that I love you enough to grieve you, and that you made me strong enough to survive losing you.

Our dads
by: Laura

My dad died in november and i am 16 and that's how i feel about it, cause i feel like i was robbed of a dad. They may have not died the same way but i know somewhat of how you feel; feel free to leave me a message.
