Another Joins the Ranks of Widowhood

by Patricia
(Las Vegas)

Today my Uncle Paul now rests with the Angels of God and sits with family long gone.

The days have been long but shorter than wanted. The pain started and now its gone, he is gone. We knew the time would come but it still came to soon.

He was fighting a battle for so long. The war is over and the angels have come to guide his soul to it final resting place to be reborn once more.

Our hearts broken and crying with lost, forever missing that smile, that love, him showing the love he had for his family, friends and the love who will always be of this life, his wife my Aunt Doris.

I've watched, my heart breaking knowing because I travel that road and now my Aunt must travel it alone as we all do, alone until together we will be again with our hearts love.

There is a Plan, a great Plan to each of us. His has ended in this time, but will continue on another road we can no longer see. Us still walking the walk, waiting until we are called, but until that time comes,
we will always be,
1 step, 1 breath at a time.

What a beautiful story
by: Anonymous

You speak with such beauty. I know the journey is not easy. I have not lost a husband, but I have not many siblings, and both parents, nieces and nephews and I only wish that I could have spoken about them with such beauty. The journey is often taken with one breath at a time, but thank God we do have that breath. Thank you for your courage in sharing your journey.

The Ranks....
by: Anonymous

I think I like the term the "Ranks of Widowhood." We earned this rank didn't we? We should probably all be 5 Star Generals by now.
God bless this new widow and your Uncle Patricia as he ventures on his new journey.
The only good that comes from this rank we really didn't want is that it does enable us to ease the pain of others that join us on this journey. We made it through the numbing grief and we can tell them that with God's help things to get better.'
Hoping for Laughter in your life.
