Another one

Two weeks ago, I posted here about the loss of my girl, Missy. This morning I've lost another, Jasmine, almost the same way. The vet says he's certain it's not related in any way, just bad coincidence, but it doesn't make things any easier on me and my husband.

Jasmine, a muted calico, had belonged to a neighbor that suddenly decided to stop taking care of her, and I being the soft hearted person I am took her in. She was the first few years temperamental and grumpy, but this past year had become quite affectionate with us. She loved to snuggle on the bed, purring loudly and nipping playfully, and would roll around the floor a lot with her belly up, a sure sign she was happy, and never sought to cause problems with my other kitties but was basically a peace loving cat. A touch moody, but she really was a good natured cat.

This is hard, losing two in one month. I pray nothing else happens to my others. Nothing has changed in the household to cause this, I think as the vet says it's just bad coincidence, but I'm feeling very much on edge now. She was a sweet grumpy loving little cat, and I'm going to miss her sorely.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your second kitty. It is so hard to lose one, let alone two! I know they are at the Rainbow Bridge, waiting to be rejoined with you. I have you in my prayers!
