anoxic brain inury

by Joan

My mom passed away 2 years ago from an anoxic brain injury. Went to the dentist /cardiac arrest/coma and then passed away after about 30 days. I am 27 and in college and it is so hard. Trust in the lord to help with the passing, that is what I have done.

I am so sorry

Losing your mom is very devastating, no matter how it happens. You have come to the right place to help with your grieving. It is a long progress, well worth it however. The memories good or bad are precious and hopefully it will make you stronger to make the difference your mother always dreamed for you. Anoxic brain injury was the wrongful diagnosis they labeled my mother with. After this diagnosis, her care staff and doctors completely abandoned her. She was completely cognizant, knew what was happening, had passed every test they administered, was improving daily, could talk when they allowed her to, would swallow when they allowed her to do so, but all her attempts to let them know she had all her faculties...they ignored them. From her autopsy it turns out she had cirrhosis of the liver, which produces the same symptoms of anoxic brain damage, all the meds they poured down her were actually poisoning her. They refused to look past the original diagnosis...sentencing my mother to a certain death.

Hugh hug to you as you grieve your loss.
