Ava's an Angel now

by Brenda Aldridge
(Alabama)

Let me tell you a story about this woman of faith, she always had a smile on her pretty face, but no one really knew the pain that she bared but deep inside I knew she was scared. Her last days came way too fast, but when she took her last breath I knew she was free at last, and I cried & said Mama run, dance & fly away, you've earned your wings. And Ava's an Angel now, she's flying high running free, yeah Ava's an Angel now & she's here with me and you & you, I can feel her she's in the room & even though you can't see her face, I know she's in a better that's great..yeah, yes she is. Here on earth she was bound to that bed, but I remember the last words she said, she said I'm alright, I'm ok there are Angels coming my way, my way...and Ava's an Angel now, she's flying high running free, yeah Ava's an Angel now and she's here with me and you and you, I can feel her she is the room and even though you can't really see her face I know she's in a better place that's great...oh yes, yes she is...hmmmm. In loving memory of Ava Aldridge 2/21/46-8/12/03. I still miss you so much!
