BABY ANGELS

by silver laduke
(alabama)

I wrote this poem in honor of the two grandchildren I saw buried.Thankfully,I have never had to bury my own child. I felt compelled to offer this to those who have. I hope it helps.(written 1995)
LIKE ANGELS THEY COME,
FROM GOD'S LOVING ARMS.
SENT DOWN TO US,
TO LOVE AND TO CHARM.

THEIR PURPOSE ON EARTH,
IS NOT VERY CLEAR.
WE LOVE THEM DEARLY,
THEY LEAVE US IN TEARS.

BACK TO GOD'S ARMS,
THEY LOVINGLY GO.
BACK TO REFLECT,
ON TIME SPENT BELOW.

NOW FATHERS DON'T WORRY.
NOW MOTHERS DON'T CRY.
YOUR BABY'S AN ANGEL
WITH GOD ON HIGH.

GOD NEEDS HIS ANGELS,
THAT YOU SURE CAN SEE.
TO FLY TO EARTH,
TO WATCH OVER YOU AND ME.

I hope this helped Melissa. The only child I lost was when I was about 4weeks along. That was bad enough I'm glad I haven't had to suffer the pangs of an older child yet and I hope I never have to. May GOD ease your heart.
