Full of Grace

Betty, my mom, was a God given gift to our family. She had a character that was full of humor, yet can handle any situation with grace. Her illness never stopped her from doing what she wanted to do. She was very dependent, and very dependable.

She use to always say, "On the outside I look GOOD, on the inside I'm all screwed up." True as it was, she didn't make everyone aware of it.

She made us aware of her presence, aware that she cared, aware the she had all the answers (lol). And if she didn't have all the answers, she had advice. She was loyal to her husband, and an example for her daughters on how to be a wife, and for her son on what to look for in a wife. Her kids were always priority in her life, until the end.

Anyone who remembers her knows her long lived interest, music! My goodness did she love music. She would sing and make up her own lyrics. She even had shopping dates with Linda to buy the latest oldie c.d. that god forbid they didn't have yet.

It will soon be a year since we have had her in our presence. I would give anything to hear her voice and feel her hug....but until we see her again.....we will hold on to our memories.

Old school mate

I knew betty from school, though I was never a very close friend I knew she was a good and warm person. I'm sure she is missed! I use to kid her about her famous potato salad. I remember that because of a party the Royal Escorts had with the Impressive Souls LOL! I want to wish Mariano and all the family my deepest heart felt Condolences and may GOD Bless, I'm sure she is watching from above!

LOL boy oh boy did you make up your own lyrics. Sometimes they weren't too nice Mom, but they did rhyme :-) I've been playing our "What movie did that song come on?" game w/ Lydia I think she's gotten one right so far but I'm keeping her on her toes. No one knows their music like u Mom.

How many times did we all have to call you to get the name or artist for a track and you knew exactly what cd it was on and what number it was out of your whole rack!!!!

The kids are good the rest of us are hanging in there, a year goes fast when you try not to think about it. A whole year wow; we missed a lot w/ you but I know you saw it all. Like you always say "Momma Knows".

Beloved Sister

It is going to be a year since you went to join the Lord. Time has not made it easier to be without you. I miss my sister and my best friend. You were the only one whom I could go to with anything. You always understood, sometimes with advice and sometimes just to lend an ear, but always a shoulder for me to cry on. I admired your strength. Even though you were going through so much yourself, you always were my strength and sometimes my conscience, and trust me I needed it. You are truly missed and always loved.
