My Story;

Its been nearly a year since I got that unexpected knock on the door from the friendly policeman I knew by the look on his face It was not good, just didn't know what it was. When he said that you were gone I just didn't believe it then I had to go to the hospital and see you and I knew. My best friend, the love of my life my rock had been taken from me,why I don't know. You seen the good in everyone, you knew how to laugh, you worked so hard. You were a proud father of 4 and a loving poppy of 3 they still ask me where is poppy when is he coming home nanny what can I say. We were married 28 years in December what a hard day that was, then it was my birthday and then Christmas it was just all so hard. You may be gone but you are so much still in my heart as you will remain for ever.
I loved yesterday, loved you today and will love you tomorrow of course will love you forever no-one can ever take your place in my heart you will always be there until we meet again I love you with all my heart xxxxxx

Never Forgotten
by: TrishJ

Helen~
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband 16 months ago. The pain is still too much to bear most days. My grandsons were 11, 3 and 2 when their grandpa died. Believe it or not the 2 year old asked me where pop pop was for about 6 months. He doesn't ask anymore and that breaks my heart. The oldest grandson just turned 13. He talks about his grandpa all the time but the two little ones will have no memory of him. My husband worried so about that.
I will have to keep his memory alive for them. That's what we both have to do. My father-in-law passed when my children were only 6 and 2. They both grew up knowing everything there was to know about him. Your grandchildren will thank you.
God bless. Things do get better~I should say we learn to adjust but we never forget.
Blessings to you.
