by brenda mckinney
(starke,fla)

I received a call today The US.Navy, that your ashes has been escorted to the Sea by the USS.Carney out of Mayport, Florida to have your Burial at Sea as you wished. Lynn you will have it all we just cant be with you it will be about a 1yr before I hear anything else until the Ship comes back to port. Your wishes have now been carried out. The joy I have is you going back to those great big Seas that you really loved, i have already gotten your the letter signed by the President. Please take your time and enjoy the waves before going to Heaven. Hearing the sounds of the Ship going though the open water traveling at this many Knots, the whistles going off. Taking you to that special place for you to Rest. Along with your other friends that loved the sea. The blue skies that over look you while the gates are open waiting for that final Salute to all you Service Men and women. I love you Lynn and I miss you. July 18,1950 - Feb 26,2011 32yrs I (SALUTE)you my husband, best friend

Final Salute
by: TrishJ

My husband passed away 6 months ago. He received full military honors at his funeral. I was doing OK during the funeral until a young naval man (having folded the flag) said....On behalf of the President of the United States and the people of a grateful nation, may I present this flag as a token of appreciation for the honorable ..........
I was never so proud of my husband in my life. He served his country in Viet Nam with pride.
Blessings to your husband. My husband was also in the navy. He was on the USS Kearsarge and very proud of his military service.
May they both rest in peace and receive God's blessings....until we all meet again.
Peace and love to you.
