Charlie <3

by Danielle Marie
(Oklahoma City)

I fell in love when I saw him. He was the most mellow one of 8 puppies. I named him Charlie. I never left his side til he got used to his new world. He grew up so fast and my love for him grew. He tore up everything in sight. Loved to play in water and get suntans. Everyday he would meet me at the gate coming and going from school and work and waited til I got home to come outside and play. There hasn't been a day thats went by that I didn't see him. The one day I leave a lil earlier than usual, the worst happens. I come home and my other dog runs to the door after digging out earlier but Charlie was no where to be found. I thought of course since they are always out he will come home. (They always found a new way out of our yard.) I left for a few more hours then come home to no Charlie. I start to panic. I search for 45 mins and still no Charlie. I thought the worst and just when I gave up...I see his collar in the middle of the street. Then I drive up further and see my best friend. I drive to get his collar and say my last goodbyes. He was my best friend. He depended on me and I wasn't there.I lost him 9 hours ago and its been the worst 9 hours ever.

R.I.P Charlie.
I love you.

Thank You
by: Geoffrey Campbell

I was moved by the great love between you two, wonderfully shared in your message about Charlie. I am thankful that God gave us dogs like Charlie, very special dogs that standout, and just as thankful that God made people like you, the world is a better place because you are in it.
