My name is Bev and I am full of sadness. My twin sister of 54 years took her own life this month. We were inseparable. She took the easy way out and left us all lost. I need her near me. She is part of my own being.

Hello

Bev,
unfortunately, I don't think there is anyone who can explain to any of us why people take their own lives. It leaves the family who survive try to figure out the whys and hows for the reasoning. While I didn't lose a sibling, especially a twin to suicide, I did however lose my mom and several cousins to it. My mom being the first when she was 46 yrs old, and my cousins being in their 20s. Losing my mom was the hardest, even though she'd suffered mental problems since childhood when her own mom left her. I can remember being so angry, angry at her mom, at my dad, because he'd divorced her, the psychologists who'd written numerous prescriptions for mental problems and finally at her. In time, I just learned to forgive, but not forget, I still love and miss her very much. I know the bond between twins is strong. I wouldn't say that she took the easy way out, sometimes things happen to people or stress people that they just can't see tomorrow. Always remember the good and loving times you both shared. God Bless you and hopefully with time, your pain will ease.
