Clare Lungu tragic death from diabetes

I feel guilty for not having done much spiritually to help her fight diabetes.
I had a fiance who was a childhood friend. After not seeing each other for a long time, I only went to meet her on 12 May 2012 and proposed marriage. My family was jealous. I new that she was diabetic and hoped that one day I travel to Nigeria to see a prophet for spiritual healing.
Unfortunately in the first week of may 2013 she developed a swollen foot. When I saw her it did not look serious, but after a week it had taken a tole on her health. On May 12 2013 we rushed her to UTH but doctors advised that they amputate her toes. This was done but did not heal, then doctors advised to amputate her leg. This brought psychological problems on her and her health deteriorated quickly and passed around 05:00 hrs AM on Monday 17th June 2013. We put her to rest at Old Leopards Hill Cemetery on 19th June 2013. MHRIP

Kabaso I am sorry for your loss of your fiancé Clare to diabetes. It has only been 4 weeks and this must have been the longest 4 weeks of grief you have known. Guilt does assault us after a death. WE wonder if we did enough for that person? WE all go through this. It shouldn't last long. The sad part of living is knowing that we will die one day but will never know when. We plan our life and expect to be happy not knowing that this happiness could be cut short at any time. Even if we tried to imagine it we couldn't. It has to be felt before it can be told. Grief wears us out and assaults us physically, mentally, and emotionally. Don't try to be too strong. Grief affects us all differently. You will one day Heal from your loss and be able to find your way back to life and build this up. May God comfort you in your grief and loss of your fiancé.
