Dalie Lama or Dalie Doggy

Dalie came to us at the beginning of a decade of loss and grief. She was a spunky malti poo with a uncanny capacity for understanding the human condition. She was a constant companion through the tears, depression and finally acceptance.
We had such an interactive relationship. Dalie had arthritic knees but that didn't stop us she had a couple of strollers and she looked regal as we pushed onward.
She and I would loved to dress her up and Dalie would pose for the camera. Over the years her costume wardrobe grew. She loved her hats and her turtle costume. I turned the photos into greeting cards for family and friends. Which were a big hit. Especially with the youngsters in the family.
I knew she was getting on and the thought of loosing her was too devasting to even consider. One day as I held her close I whispered please help me find a puppy one with as sweet a soul as you.
I did not actively look for another dog. But as synchronicity would have it we came upon Maya and Dalie who is not a fan of the canine community gave her nod to bring into her castle a larger version of herself. And Dalie stayed long enough to ensure the transition went smooth. Dalie is gone, but her unselfish act has insured her family continues to experience unconditional love.
