Day of the Dead

Where I live we celebrate the passing of our loved ones. It really is beautiful thing to see all of the graves decorated with beautiful bright flowers. We make offerings of their favorite things they liked when they were living. We place these on an altar with candles and pictures of our loved ones. The Aztecs believe that on Nov.2, the dead return to earth to visit their loved ones. I think that is beautiful! This year we will participate for our only son who passed June2.2011 @ the of 31. This is our first time. I want people to remember that in spite of flaws he was a very good man who loved his children and his parents. Today is also my birthday(Nov.2) and wonderful it will be to celebrate this with my son. We love you Jonathan. I was with him in the beginning and he will be with me at my end. Jonathan's Mom......
