I met my friend at church, and the first thing she told me was that she had leukemia. We became friends 4 years ago. Every year, we celebrate the day we became friends, which is 8-19-2008. We get each other gifts each year, and this year I wrote her a song about our friendship. Well, that and some flowers. So I went to church, and I kept looking for her. The service started and she still wasn't there. I then saw her mom walk up to the youth pastor. Then, the pastor said "We have unfortunate news. Emma has passed away because of her leukemia." I dropped the flowers and cried. She died on the day we celebrate our friendship. And I didn't even get to give her my song. Emma, R.I.P. Love you.

Emma I am deeply sorry for your loss of your special friend at Church. A sudden death will leave you numb and in shock. You will have days of disbelief and DENIAL. These are the first stages of grief as is crying and searching for a loved one. You seem to have had a LOVE relationship like David and Jonathan in the Bible. I am glad that you belong to a church so that you can be ministered to and well supported in your grief. You both made a difference to each other's lives in such a special way. YOU WILL SEE YOUR FRIEND AGAIN. Jesus is coming back for us. Hold on to this and Keep HOPE alive in your heart. I feel your sorrow. May the days ahead give you the Peace of God and the comfort of The Holy Spirit to guide you each new day so that one day you won't find your loss so painfull.
