Farewell Sweet Lady

by Melissa
(Mesa, AZ)

My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer on April Fool's Day 2011. I was with her through it all, surgery, doctor appointments, chemo, complications, etc... Seven months later... I am looking at my once beautiful, vibrant 60 year old mom and I am calling my family telling them to come to AZ because she is fading fast. Next thing I know we are in Hospice (God bless Hospice). Soon I am picking clothes to bury my sweet mom, then I am writing an obit, picking flowers, dealing with creditors...at some point I pray I will be able to grieve for her...

I understand
by: CH

Melissa,
I am so very sorry that your mom had to suffer through pancreatic cancer.
My husband (age 53) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2010 and lived only one month following diagnosis. It is a dreadful disease.

I understand how difficult it is to see the rapid deterioration of a loved one, plan a funeral that will honor your loved one and handle all the legal matters that follow a death.

You never know what will trigger your deepest grief or your tears, but when the tears come, let them flow. Each of us grieve differently but just take the time to grieve. When you feel sad or lonely, remember your mom is always watching over you.
Hugs and prayers to you.
CH
