Felix the Cat

by Karen Garza
(Michigan)

Felix brought sunshine into my life. When I first saw him, all I saw were ears, long legs and a long tail. But he sure was smart. He was taught to fetch, roll over and speak. He only lived to be 9 years old which is young for a cat. He developed kidney disease which is a common disease in cats. He was given shots of fluid which helped the first few weeks but he got weaker and the shots were hurting him.

The day he fell and hit is head on the tub and just layed there was the day my life died. We had to take him to our vet to be put to sleep. He purred until the end.

It will be 6 years since he died but I cry and miss him so much. I thank our vet for giving us his paw print in clay with the only white whisker he had (he was all black).

Today I have four more felines to help make my life full of sunshine.

Felix the Cat
by: Mari

Hi Karen. I understand how much you miss your kitty. The Bible says ''The lion shall lie down with the Lamb'' so you know your kitty is in heaven. And what a cute name, Felix.
I am glad you have more kitties.I also lost a kitty, a kitten actually. She used to play out front til I went to work and one day someone must have taken her as she was gone. So I figured on getting a bigger cat, maybe about half grown.I plan to do that soon.
Anyway I am glad you have the paw print and 4 other kitties. Cats do bring sunshine to one's life. What did you name the kittens?
By the way Karen. I want a kitty with stripes if possible. Take care. God bless you. Keep posting.
