First Christmas

My new knife

This was our first Christmas without Pop. I was having a difficult day, though I did my best to hide it. We draw names each year and only buy gifts for who ever you pull. I thought that my youngest son's girlfriend had my name since Thanksgiving. Well come to find out, my oldest son had me and gave me the most thoughtful amazing gift I have ever received. I collect Case Trapper pocket knives and he got me one with Dad's name engraved on one blade and "In loving memory on the other". Of course, the entire room cried, but it made Christmas amazing! I can never express to him what this means to me. I am truly a blessed man to have had the father that I had and such a great family. My wife has been such a caring, loving and understanding person through everything with my parents and my sons are truly an inspiration.

The first Christmas without our loved ones, they say, are the worst but I will ever miss the presance of the sons I lost and one a month before Thanksgiving and Christmas too. God bless you. What a wonderful gift!

What a thoughtful young man. That is a beautiful gift and a lovely tribute to your father. Glad it made your holiday a bit easier. Peace and blessings in the New Year, Barb
