Five Months Today.
Randy and I were married about nine years when he died. Randy was safety supervisor on oil rig in PA. He had worked in the oil field for circa 30 years. Randy would work in PA for 2 weeks and then fly home to TX the remaining part of the month. He loved his job. Randy loved life. He would always fly into the Dallas Air Port on Wednesday nights and I would drive from Longview, TX to pick him up. The Monday before flying home Wednesday, Randy called and mention that he felt like he was coming down with a head cold. He purchased meds (OTC) at Wal Mart. The following day, Randy mention that his head cold has apparently moved down into his chest. I asked him to go to the doctor there in PA but Randy wanted to see our family doctor that Thursday. His daughter and I picked Randy up circa 100am Thursday morning. I could tell he was extremely ill but he begged for me to take him home first before going to the hospital. And like a fool I did!. We arrived him circa 300am and I had in at the local ER at 320am. At 322am Randy was on life support. At 335am, the ER doctor advised to call in our family. His family all resided in OK and would take 8 hours to drive in. At 11:15am Randy had a massive heart attack. At 11:29am, I recovered life support and Randy might have lived another 30 seconds. I lost my soul mate and each day I have to find a reason to live. Randall "Randy" S. Terry 6-24-1955 to 08-18-2011... Forever in my heart.
