For My Brother ..... Steve Lipford

by Ann
(Elizabethton, Tenn)

I laid you to rest on July 24, 2010. I know you are not hurting anymore and I know you are in Heaven with mom, Daddy, and Johnny. I will always love you and I did not want you to leave me but, I did not want you to suffer which I know you did. So God took you, so you would not hurt anymore. He gave you a new body with no pain. I find strength in knowing that now, no cancer can enter your body and you have a new set of wings and are flying with the angels now. Rest In Peace my baby brother.

Loss of Brother
by: Brenda

I only have one brother and I do not know what I would do or how I would feel if that happened. I have lost my parents, grandparents and 2 of my children. The most recent on May 21, 2010. His name was Cody and he was 27. A friend sent me this little saying and I thought you might like it.

When you lose a parent you lose the past.
When you lose a spouse you lose the present.
When you lose a child you lose the future.
But when you lose a sibling you lose all three.

That is so true my brother and sister have always been there with me to grieve the loss of our parents and grandparents. They were there for me when I lost both my children. But who will I lean on when I lose one of them? I gave them an order as their older sister; I was the first born so I get to be the first to die. It was just my way of making a joke of something I could not bear to think about.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
