Friendship for a Lifetime

My grandma passed away a little over a year ago and it has been one of the toughest times in my life. I lost two other grandparents when I was younger and you realize as you get older that death is so much more real. My grandma was one of a kind. Not only was she my grandma but she was one of my most cherished friends. She would always tell you what was on her mind and would tell the best childhood stories about my father. Some days all I want to do is hear one of those stories again and laugh and giggle with her like we always did.. She meant more to me then she will ever know. I miss calling her up and her blowing me a kiss through the phone and updating me on her day of shopping and teaching me how to speak Italian. The love that grandparents give you is like no other. It's special for each person and it only grows in death. I have the utmost faith that I will see her again one day. She always said that she hoped that she could be at my wedding and I would say to her "grandma you're gonna have to wait many years for that, I'm not getting married until I'm 30" lol I'm 20 now and I know that when I do get married whenever that may be someday down the road my grandma will be looking down with pride and with a big smile on her face (he also has to be tall, dark and handsome-as she would always say to me) :) I hope to one day have a love like my grandpa's and hers. Growing up watching those two give everything they had to their family and to eachother makes me hopeful that true love does exist. Love you grandma to the moon and back xoxo <3

Friends for a Life Time
by: Anonymous

I lost my grandmother some 24 years ago. She not only raised me but was my mentor and my best friend. Time is on our side. Take all the time you need to grieve for this loss.

We only get once chance in life. Make the most of it with the strength and love from your gramdmother.

One breath, one step and one day at a time is all we can do.

My condolensces for your loss. May God Bless You and Hold You Gently in the Hollow of His Hand.
