gentle giant

Jake was my medical service dog. Due to becoming homeless a friend offered to care for him until we got another place. She then avoided me and refused to give my dog back to me. I then found out she took him to the pound and reported him as abandoned. By the time I found out it was too late. The pound informed me that they put him down for showing signs of aggression. I am empty, for 6 years he has been there when I would go into seizures he was there for everything. I am so lost without him. My heart is in pieces. I miss my Jake and would give anything to have him back

Justice for Claire and Jake
by: Anonymous

Heartbreaking! I am so frustrated and sad after reading this post. I hope by this time Claire has another gentle service dog and Jake continues to be with her as a true angel.

I have spoken to the media about my situation. I intend to seek legal action against the Idaho Humane society for putting my dog down. Our homelessness has stopped as of this Saturday November 8th which makes it even sadder because my beloved Jake will not be there to enjoy his new home like I had promised him.

Claire I am so very angry at reading your post of your loss of Jake to a senseless and cruel woman who did you a great disservice. Worse than that she was someone you trusted with Jake and who in reality BETRAYED YOU.
You need to EXPOSE her for what she did and NAME AND SHAME her in the media.
Jake probably showed signs of aggression through the stress of missing you and not understanding the separation which would cause him anxiety.
A grave injustice has been served to you. You should also take action against the home and the people who put Jake down. This aggression is not reason to put a dog down. These people should be trained to know the signs and they could have nurtured Jake back into a normal state by being kind to him.
I feel so angry on your behalf and feelings of hurt and pain for Jake being robbed of his life.
Don't limit your life. In time after grief think about getting another dog. To help you continue your journey on this earth with love and happiness. I hope that your homelessness has ended and you are in secure accommodation.
