Georgia Peach

by Mckenzie Cooper
(Butler, Pa U.S.A.)

I got Georgia as a Christmas present in 2005 when I was six. She was the highlight of my life. I loved riding my pony in the woods all the time with my mother's horse, Sox.

We moved to Butler in 2008. We moved our horses up this summer. We rode in the woods and she was the perfect pony for me. She loved me and I loved her. She took every yank I yanked on her reins. She took every jab I kicked with my feet. She taught me how to ride.

In 2009, she was 26, which is a rather old horse. She had fallen down before, and we thought she was getting nervous from our other horse going out of sight. But on November 17, 2009, she had the some thing in front of the vet during a check-up.

She was having a seizure. There was nothing we could do, and they had to put her down in the morning. I went through the whole school day thinking she was OK. Now I can not get over it and I cry myself to sleep. I don't go through a day where I don't think about her. If you have any suggestions for me, Email me at horsecrazykenz@yahoo.com. I would really like that.
