I agree with you.I believe GOD sent me an angel also.I met my husband at a house of a girl I knew. Two weeks later he came by my house. We became friends and dated off and on for 3 yrs.All of a sudden we were getting married. We were married for 33 yrs.He died one week after our anniversary in 2011.I miss him so much.I have a strong faith in GOD and I believe I will see him again one day. This is what keeps me going.I found this site by accident and it has helped me so much. The people here are so loving and supportive. It really helps to know there are others who know EXACTLY how you feel.It helps to be able to go somewhere that others don't tell you it's time to move on.Grief doesn't have a timeline. GOD send you continued strength and peace. I keep all of us in my prayers.

missing him
by: Lawrence

Hi Becky
What a beautiful story, they could make a film about it called “I’M LOOKING FOR A WIFE “I am so sorry for your loss, the overwhelming agonizing pain of grief is like no other ever experienced in a lifetime.
You have had three years, whereas I have had just ten months and I’m trying so hard to come to terms with it, with a little bit of success but it is still hell on earth, I miss her dreadfully and the loneliness is killing..
We were like Siamese twins joined at the hip and spent seventy blissful years together, but there are no happy endings in life, sooner or later the survivor of any loving relationship must experience this terrible nightmare. You had thirty six years of passion and love which so few people experience, I’m sure you thank God for sharing him with you..
I’m glad you have joined this web site and to know that you are not alone with your grief.
Take care

Becky I am sorry for your loss of your husband to cancer. I am happy you got to meet and marry a man who made a difference in your life and you in his and you had years of happiness. It is when we are happy that we end up losing the one we love. I was married to a wonderful man for 44yrs. and waiting for his retirement when he was diagnosed with a deadly cancer caused from working with asbestos. I nursed him for 3yrs.39days and he died 18 months ago. I don't feel it gets easier. The loneliness gets worse. Some people get used to it, but for me it is a battle. I always dreaded being lonely and now it feels like the worst feeling ever. One can't spend years with someone and suddenly get used to being on one's own. Today Saturday is the day of the week he died and I hate every Saturday now. I always cry on Saturdays and hope it won't be this way forever. All the memories of that day present on a Saturday. I don't have to think of it. It is just there. I am coping by taking one day at a time and this does help. But the triggers will make us feel sad and lonely all over again. I wish you better days ahead.

God sent me an angel

I'm so sorry you lost your husband to cancer. I lost my mom to it in 1995. I loved your title. I also met my husband through the personal ads in 1997. I consider him my angel too. He helped me through a really hard time, mostly by just being there, and i will forever be grateful to him. It's nice to know the personals or dating websites really do work for some individuals, isn't it? I hope and pray you can find comfort in your loss.
