gone too soon x

by Mary O Brien
(Dublin, Ireland)

My mother went to heaven on the 26th July 2012 ,she died suddenly of a heart attack in her sleep,She was 58 years old.I found out on the last day of my holidays four hours before my flight.I hadn't seen her for seven months or spoken to her as we fell out, It was surreal I was in shock and still am,the emptiness, lonliness and pain are in indescribable.I loved her more than she'll ever know part of me died that day too. I miss her laugh, her smile, her sense of humour,I used to take her away on holidays and would do anything to put a smile on her face I still can't believe she's gone its like it's all a dream.I'm heartbroken

Sorry for your loss and I know it us not easy forgive yourself and try to look forward your mum loved you and knew that you cared that is what is important. Be gentle with yourself. None of us are perfect and we all wish we had done things differently. Take care of yourself and look after your family.Kate

Gone too soon

Mary sorry for your loss.I lost my mum last July and I know how difficult it is to be without your mum. Please don't torture yourself over what went on between you and your mum before her death. We all have regrets and feel we could do things differently with hindsight and 20/20 vision.Your mum knew you loved her, as a mum we feel that love despite all that goes on in daily living. Talk to your mum, tell her you love her and write to her. I do that keeping her informed of my life etc. I know how difficult it is. Talk about your mum to people who understand and care for you. Best of luck Therese.
