Hannah's story... Daddy's little Angel

Me & Hannah

Me & Hannah

I've been reading different parts of this web site and it's helped. 7 stages of grief, etc...
But I've had several moments, meltdowns, and outbursts of sorrow for the loss of my little girl.

Included in this blog is her story her mother did for her during her short life. She was 8.5 years old when the Lord called her home. She had epilepsy and died from a "status seizure". Many have commented that Hannah's story has touched their lives in a good way.

If you feel compelled to read it, I hope it touches you.

She also had autism and couldn't carry on a conversation, but her life, her story, touched more lives than mine ever shall. It was a privilege to be her earthly father as she brought so much joy into our lives. Now she is with her heavenly father.

I don't want to be bitter & always sad but want to celebrate the time God loaned her to us and that we will see her again some day and she'll be completely whole.

God Bless everyone who loses their child and may God comfort you, because it is a very sad and dark time, but He will see you through this valley.

Psalm 23: 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Safely Home
by: A. Shirley

I am home in Heaven, dear ones
Oh, so happy and so bright
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and grief is over
Every restless tossing passed
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in heaven at last.

And he came himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread
and with Jesus' arm to lean on
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely
for I love you dearly still
Try to look beyond earths shadows
Pray to trust our Fathers Will.

There is work still waiting for you
so you must not idly stand
Do it now, while life remaineth
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is all completed
He will gently call you home
Oh, the rapture of that meeting
Oh, the Joy to see you come!

Special child
by: vicki

In memory of my beautiful boy I am sending this to you as your daughter was a special child who touched many also

A meeting was held quite far from earth;
Its time again for a special birth,
Said the angels to the Lord above
This Special Child will need much love
His progress may seem very slow and he will require
special care from all folks he meets down there !
He may be very slow to laugh and play,
His thoughts may seem quite far away,
In many ways he won?t adapt,
and he?ll be known as handicapped!
So lets be careful where his sent,
We want his life to be content,
Please Lord find the people who,
will do a special job for you
They may not realise right away
the leading role they have to play
But with this child sent from above,
comes stronger faith and richer love,
And soon they?ll realise the privilege given
in caring for this beautiful child from heaven,
Their precious charge so weak and mild is heavens very

Angels Above
by: Down Under

David, my condolences on the passing of your beautiful angel Hannah. Gosh, it brought back so many memories of my niece passing 13 yrs ago at the simple age of 6. I'm sure all the young ones are up above watching down on us and having a ball with one another. Your wife seems like an amazing person David. I wish you all the best and comfort to your hearts and keep the happy memories alive. xo
