He left me when I was 7

My dad took himself away when I was 7 years old. Which was now 13 years ago roughly. I never grieved for him, I don't think I knew how and nobody helped me. Our family disowned my mother and two brothers because of the black mark they assumed he made on the family name.

I'm twenty years old now and my life seems to be unraveling. I want to remember him and maybe begin the grieving process. Has anybody experienced anything similar? your thoughts or advice would be much appreciated
