Hoarder

by Serenitysuel
(Florida)

For 13 years or more I have been a hoarder, just recently my niece has cleaned out my carport, shed, and 1 bedroom. Now that she is moving into the living area, I am feeling a panic. I am medicated for panic, anxiety, and depression, with OCD. My psychiatrist explained to me I am going through a process of grieving, and continue what I am doing. This is a big breakthrough for me and I am frightened.

unclutering
by:

I guess that I am a closet hoarder too. Perhaps it stems from thinking that we need this and need that to keep us safe. Recently though I realised that I needed for things to be clear and uncluttered because I could never find anything anyway. 12 truckloads of stuff (at least) and now the Living room and bedroom are bare and so much easier to clean. No more moving stuff from A-B and complaining that there isn't enough room. I am not done yet but it makes life so much easier!
If you have someone who is willing to help, Dump it all. Only keep the basics. Pretend that you are moving and only have a car to keep your most valuable/sentimental stuff in. You will feel so much better uncluttering you house and your mind.
Just think that someone can use this more than me. I have enjoyed it now let it go. Also finding a mouse nest in some books grossed me out so much that I new it was time to clear everything out. Good Luck!:)
