Honey-dog

by Darci
(Wisconsin)

I miss my one blue eyed girl, Honey. I had to put her to sleep in February of 2011, this was one of the hardest decisions for me to make in a long time. Honey was my best bud, we went everywhere together. She was spoiled rotten, but isn't that what having a pet is all about. Our pets show us unconditional love so shouldn't we do the same for them. I miss the muddy paw prints, the wet kisses, the tail-wagging dance when I would come home from a day at work. How does this ever get easier when I miss her and her wonderful personality that we shared for 10 years. It's been said, "We don't train our pets, they train us".
