How to begin again

by Molly E
(Canada)

Quinn

I saw you smile, I saw you laugh
And then you were gone.

You came back one day not the way you left
You came back in a box

You didn’t smile you didn’t laugh,
My life forever changed

They say to move on
They say begin again

How to begin what never ended
How to begin when you didn’t want a new beginning

How to begin when your heart is filled with sorrow
How to begin to smile at a new tomorrow when you
Can’t let go of yesterday

Begin again such easy words yet so hard to do

-Molly-
