Humble Man

by Edward
(Stockton, CA)

I lost my father two weeks ago, on July 30, 2010, due to complications of diabetes and congested heart failure. He was a man of God, served as pastor for 30 years, retired from the government 35 years, married for 43 years, and practiced what he preached. I truly enjoyed his smile, sense of humor, wisdom and practical advice on how to deal with life problems. He was my rock, role-model, and reliable source to confide about my personal issue. No words can explain the impact he had in our community and my life personally. I love you dad, rest in peace.

Your Son,
Ed

I'm trying to deal with my dad's final stages of congestive heart failure, liver and kidney disease. I am trying to prepare myself but honestly I can't think of life without him. My thoughts are with you and your family. There's nothing easy about losing a parent.

You have the joy of knowing where your father is now. I know that does not mean that you do not grieve. My thoughts and prayers are with you and I want you to know that you are not on this journey. My 27 year old son died from complications of Diabetes on May 21, 2010
