Loss of your Father
by: Anonymous

I feel for you so much! I lost my Dad only 7 weeks ago after a massive heart attack. It was all so sudden and I had only seen him over 24 hours before. He was happy, playing his guitar and enjoying his granddaughters. He was only 60! I can't believe that was the last time I will ever see him again. I hope you are doing ok. It is so hard to lose a parent. You feel as though you have lost your identity and just don't feel whole anymore.

Dad

Hi Simon, I know exactly how you are feeling as I lost my Dad last year on 21st October(2009) in similar circumstances. My Dad was only 66. It is still hard to believe, as I only saw him hours earlier and he was full of life. Everything has changed now but everybody says it just takes time. You just have to take one day at a time and you will have good days and bad. Just remember there are lots of people who are going through what we are and unfortunately there is no easy answer.I wish there was!
Take care x

your dad

I am sorry about the loss of your dad. A father is a very special person in one's life. It sounds as if you esteemed him highly and I am sure he was proud of having you for a daughter.

He is with our Lord and Savior now, out of pain. I am sure you are thankful for the time you had him.

Just give yourself a chance to heal. It will hurt for a while but time helps ease the pain. You will always have precious memories of your dear father.

I lost my husband on 11-22-09. I am making progress but the hardest part is missing him. I am truly on my own now but God has brought me this far and He won't let me down now. I will keep you in prayer. Take care and give us updates on how you are doing. I know it is very hard for you now.

Lost Fathers up Above

Simon, my condolences on the loss of your father. He is up above watching down on you, so make him proud. Take care.
