I Lost My Mum on 24th October 2011

I lost my wonderful Mum after only four weeks of being told she had Ovarian Cancer. Life has become so worthless. I have two small children, but I just have lost all thoughts of the future. Part of me just still cannot believe what has happened. I close my eyes and I can see her. I loved my Mum so much. I am now having pain attacks because I have this total sense of shock still.

I, too, lost my sweet mum to Ovarian cancer on January 17,2012.

Our stories sound very similar. My beautiful mother lived only 7 weeks following her shocking diagnosis of ovarian cancer. I, also have two small children, who sadly, will not get to grow up with their beloved Nanny. All I can say is that your mother would want you to be strong for your babies.... That is all a mother wants... For her children and their children to be safe, happy and cared for. Ovarian cancer is so sad: a terrible curse for all women ( mothers, daughters, grandmothers). There is hardly a sadder moment in life than losing your mum. Hugs xxx

She is with you

Susan please get help to see you through this grief. Your children need you and you need someone to lean on and talk to. You know, your mum is never very far away and can still help you. Talk to her. You will hear her voice within you and she will be guiding you toward a brighter day. She wants you to be happy but knows this will take time. She's holding your hand now Susan and ready to help you through it. I hope you have good loving people in your life who will embrace you when you cry. You will never forget your mother but I promise that the pain will abate and grow less sharp. You will begin to focus on happy memories and hear her laugh and remember the silly little fun things that make up the building blocks of our lives. You are loved.
