I miss my Mother

by Debbie Mandel
(Philo, Il)

She was frugal.

She was generous.

She was independent.

She was giving.

She was strong.

She was supportive.

She was wise.

She listened.

She loved her family.

Her family loved her.

She admired my artistry.

I admired her wisdom.

She worried about her children.

We worried about her.

She cared for me.

She protected me.

She was my mother.

I miss her.

A beautiful tribute to your Mother. God bless you in your grief/healing journey. Its a right of passage that we all have to go through. Or should I say, most of us. I lost my only son 1 1/2 years ago and then my Mama just on November 7th. both were so important to me as I am sure your Mom was to you. I was just thinking that if my Mother and my son could speak to me today, they might say "Be happy, be fulfilled and love your life." God Bless our Mom's, they are the face of God to us as children and a playground to their Grand children. Forever in our hearts.
