I miss you everyday, Tillu

by Ayush Anand

I lost my most beloved sister last year to suicide.Today is her birthday. It used to rain today every year, but see, world has stopped thinking about you.I feel that a part of my soul is lost.I can't see myself happy now. Wish I could hold her, alive and chirping, then I will never let you go so far.I wish that she meets me in my life and I promise to take care of you, no matter what.I will fight with everyone and not a single scratch will ever touch you.Today, I am sad and don't see any beauty in this world made by God.Your Bhaiyu, loves you a lot missing your 1000 watt smiles...

Ayush I am sorry for your loss of your sister to suicide and how this grief is still making you feel so lost and insecure with unbearable pain and sorrow, that you can see no joy anymore in life and in the world.
Try and take your FOCUS off the way your sister died and all she went through. Focus on some of the finer memories of her. When negative memories intrude replace them with a positive one until your whole thinking changes and you start feeling better. I found out that when I changed my FOCUS I started feeling better. Some bad memories will come. Don't stop them. Let them pass out of your mind but replace them with better thinking. It will then get easier for you to live with your loss of your beloved sister. Your world will change and you will start seeing the beauty God made again and you will start to move forward. You will never forget your sister. But you will start to think of her in a different way. We cannot alter grief. It will unfold automatically, and the bad memories will pass in time and be replaced with new memories. Try and also put new things in your life. Have a memory book, or garden in memory of your sister so that your focus is continually changing. This is positive and will help your grief.
