I am sorry for the loss of your dad. You are having a bad attack of guilt and this is part of the grief and something that has to be worked out. Everyone of us lives with regrets every day of our lives. It is when we love someone so much and they die it is then it hurts. We can't go back to say what we want to. think on the times when you did have a good relationship with your dad and you did tell him you loved him. We all get caught up with living that we don't have time to stop and smell the roses. Life is so fast and we go with the flow. My son said the same thing to me when his dad died 7 weeks ago. He didn't take time to say goodnight. Or goodbye. Or do some of the jobs his dad wanted done. His dad felt he didn't care. Because my husband was very ill with cancer his demands were more. Often one can't fulfill every task, or do everything as the sad fact is the ill person has too much time whilst we all have little time and it is often hard to find a balance. This would be a good time for me to say that we now have the opportunity to honour those people we have left in our lives so that when they leave this world we will have less regrets. Take care.
