I think I am losing my grandfather...

by Randy

I am 27 years old, college graduate, very happy with life. I come from a very large family, my grandfather had 9 children, 24 grandchildten, including myself.

He's been in hospice before from an accident in 2007, but recovered, except the full use of his legs. He has gone through physical therapy and walks around easily with a walker he is a proud man, worked construction for about 50 years of his life and also did some carpentry on the side.

Lately he's had a slew of medical issues, mostly depression and wanting to see his children. Traveling isnt an issue because he likes to see 'new' country, even though we've been there before, on some occasions several times. He complains of his body hurting a lot and takes pain medication to help. His dosages have somewhat increased a little.

My issue is, is this normal or is 'he ready to go'?
