*~*In This Moment*~*

by Tami
(Ranson, WV)

Everyday there is a moment when time stands still

All the noises seem to get muffled into a quiet song

I know what's about to happen again each day

In this moment a memory is about to unfold

Taking me back to when you were still here

Back to all the places you called home

All the colors that you made them be

Back to all the gardens you so loved

All the things that you made grow

Back to all the cars you proudly owned

All the roads that brought you home

In this moment a memory always reminds me

That you are never really so far away

When I'm in my house that you painted

When I'm in the yard that you lived in

When I'm in the car that you drove

I remember all the things that made you happy

I begin to see just how simple life is to enjoy

In this moment a memory brings you home

Tammy, Please keep writing this beautiful words you express. Once again, I enjoyed it alot. I, too, am a poet, though I haven't written since I lost my son. Please continue. I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoys it! Brenda Richison
