larry 7-23-1953- 2-21-2011

by teresa
(illinois)

my fiance larry left home on feb 21,2011 to go ice fishing he told me before he left i will be home in a couple of hours . it started raining and my thought was i should call him and say its raining are you still going ? but then i thought no he wont go he will go run errands like he usually did. i slept most of that day. i woke up and began to wonder where is he? i started calling his cell phone i couldnt get through to him.we hardly never were out after dark and he never fished at dark. i got in my car and drove to the park where he fished the gate was locked i could not get in. they lock the gates at a certain time .

i called the police they got in the park and found his truck but not him that night they had the dogs out there and flood lights but it was to dark. the next morning they had divers in the water searching. they pulled up larry's fishing bucket with his coat in it. one hour later they pulled larry's body up he had fell through the ice when he used his ogger to drill his fishing hole they believe and he drowned. we were together 8 years i am a two time breast cancer survivor and he was there with me through it all i thought i would go before him. i know he loved me and grant our dog he took grant everywhere with him. he was very kind and thoughtful. he will always be with me!
