Laura 45 years old

My sister had a massive heart attack on December 11th 2009; she was home alone and after the heart attack a fire started in her home, we did not even have anything to identify her besides the rings that she wore. It is awful, we are trying to cope with losing my sister and now her 13 year old twin boys have to go live with their father. I miss her every minute of every day, she was my best friend.

Understanding

I too lost my sister unexpectedly. She was 43 years old and 5 years younger than I am. What a shock and such a loss! She was my best friend and we spent hours every summer at our lake house on the pier. We watched our kids together, polished our nails in the sun, talked about everything and were best friends. I now hate to see the summers coming. I was so grateful for my family but now I know that you can never appreciate them enough. Part of my life is gone now. My ideas of the future are gone too.

I feel so sorry for your loss and just knowing what you went through is terrible. Just know that you are not alone.

Dear Mary,
My sincere love and sympathy for the loss of your sister, Laura.We have no set rules, nothing set in stone that tells us how or how long to grieve. It's personal with whoever suffers the loss. It's been just around a month, and you really haven't had time to start to recover from the shock of your loss. But with the grace of God
and His love and mercy, you will receive strength.

With time, somewhere out there, you will feel some relief. We've all been through this loss, and we know what you are feeling. God bless your heart and walk with you, until you are stronger, and may He meet your needs day by day.
