Losing my mom

by Nechi
(Toledo,Ohio)

November 20,2006
mom and I went to the store and we spent the day together. I t was great I had just moved into my new trailer and put my tree up for christmas and mom loved it. mom wanted me to take her to the doctor in the morning and I didnt feel like getting up and taking her so I had said no. She said ok I will come over after the dr and we can start making things for Thanksgiving dinner. Mom never showed up so I called her and called her no answer my husband even called her from work and no answer. My brother called her from NC and no answer. So when My hubby got home we went to moms apt to make sure everything was ok. Her car was there and her light was on in the livingroom and her screen door was un locked which my mom never ever did. so we started knocking and knocking as my house key of hers was at my house I had forgot it. then something tells me just to try to open the glass door and it was open again mom NEVER left the doors unlocked. So I go in and I find my mom sitting in her chair ready to go to the Doctor's which was yesterday not today and she had passed away. Hard it what it was and is. I miss her everyday. If I would have just gotten up and taken her to the dr i might have been with her. Here we are 5 long years later and im crying as I miss her so much and miss her hug's The fact that I havent had her with me in 5 years is killing me..Love and Missing her

Happy Memories
by: TrishJ

I'm so sorry for your loss. Even though it's been 5 years the pain doesn't really go away. The memories of Thanksgiving have to be difficult. My husband was still here last Thanksgiving but passed away 8 days later. Holidays are hard without our loved ones here. We have to treasure the wonderful memories of those holidays past. Your mom would want you to be happy.
God bless and Happy Thanksgiving.
PJ
