Loss of my star

by Barry Frost
(Washington, England)

They say that time's a healer
Sometimes this can be fact
But through all the heartache
There can be no going back
I said that I loved you
But my actions disagreed
I never really told you
The truth that all could see

I told so many lies
And the heartbreak I prolonged
For you I made life a misery
And yet still I carried on
I'm sorry for my lies
Untruths and horrid ways
I never will forget you
Until the end of days

I wish you a happy lifetime
Although life is paler by far
To know I live without you
Is crushing in extreme
I really lost my soul mate
Of which I do deserve
I really do miss terribly
My friend and shining star
