Loss of Pepper, My Heart Dog

Sweet Pepper

Sweet Pepper

Hi. It's Pepper! I crossed over the bridge! I'm here! When I got to where it starts, Poochie came running out to greet me. We were kissing each other and playing so much we almost fell off the bridge. Then she said, "Come on, my love, on the other side are many who await you." And was that ever right. There were SO many dogs and cats sitting there as far as my eyes could see, with their paws in prayer and heads bowed. They said they know a lot of you - and that all you have to do is feel them in your hearts. Part of them lives there with you. If you really listen with your heart, they will talk to you.

I know mommy and daddy miss me a lot. I don't want them to be sad. I was in a lot of pain but didn't want them to know, but I guess they did. No pain now! I am running with the wind. Everyone here has wings - all different colors, some with rainbow colors. I don't know what color mine are because they're just starting to grow. Poochie was laughing at that (hers are a beautiful lavender). She said, "Pepper, of course yours are red. You'll see when they get bigger,"

I am a happy dog. Dad called me "little man"; Mom called me "little tank" but those were just fun names. This is a wonderful place. So I am smiling again.

Dear Pepper,

Your mom loves you and she is so very proud of you! Her very own Pepper a published author! She still misses you very, very much, sweet Pepper. Try and send her a dream some time to relive some of the wonderful times, something to make her smile when she wakes up. Your friend Lina_TX

What a lovely letter
by: Lina_TX

What a lovely letter from your dear Pepper, Chrys. He sounds so happy, and I keep hearing him say that he also wants you to remember the joy you shared, the wonderful memory of the good times in your long journey together. Don't dwell on the difficult days, think of the joyful ones, even if the memories are still bittersweet. Be well, Chrys. Be well.

Loving Pepper
by: Margie

I never met Pepper in person, but I have loved him from afar. The joy in his heart was clearly in his eyes. The sight of him always made me smile. And most importantly he held my friend's heart and a piece of her soul in him. I couldn't help but love him, too. Thank-you Pepper for giving Chrys joy. It is very hard now for her without you. Such pain takes time to heal. It will never completely go away because you were such an important part of her. Because you loved each other so very much. But I believe with all of my heart that love never dies, and that you will be together again.

Dear Pepper
by: Melody

Dear Pepper
I am so happy that you made it over the Bridge and are now running pain free. Your Mommy is a Dear Friend of mine and I know how much she misses you. Dont worry she will be ok in time but continue to watch over her. Give her signs thats its ok for her to love Joshua. Tell her that she has to take care of her health now so she can get better.
