These past couple of years have been very tough. I lost my aunt in December of 2012, my uncle in May of 2013, and most recently my father in January of this year. Both my aunt and uncle died from cancer which metastasized from their lungs, and my father died from heart failure. I knew that my aunt and uncle were both terminally ill, but my fathers death was a complete shock. He lived up in Wisconsin, and my mom and I live in Illinois. We did our best to keep in touch with him, and one day he wasn't answering his phone. After many calls we decided to call his local police department to conduct a wellness check. About an hour later after we made that call, the police showed up to our door with the horrible news of his passing. This was a giant blow because I still haven't gotten over my aunt and uncle's death. The grieving process has been very tough but getting better each day. I miss them more and more each day, but I know all of them want me to keep moving forward and to live my life to the fullest extent.
