My grandfather was the rock of our family. Ever since I was a child I would call grandma and grandpa's house to talk. They are like parents, and the only constant in my life. He gave me advise on everything and was the strong, silent type everyone looked up to. He was the most resilient man I ever knew- he bounced back from so many bouts with cancer I lost track. He had just defeated liver cancer when he had a surprise heart attack. He died holding his wife and son's hands. We will all miss him dearly.
I am so sorry to her about your grandfather, I pray his soul is at rest. And your family finds peace in knowing that he is in a better place. I loss my sister 63 years old on Jan. 8th of this year to ovarian cancer that spread to her brain. Cancer is bad enough but to watch your loved one suffer and linger to die is so painful, first for them and then for the family. You will get to see him agin in a better place. Try to remember the great times you had with him, and your heart will smile again
