Lost my sister, December 23, 2011, suddenly

by dorothy
(virginia)

I still can't believe this happened. She texted me twenty times a day, and called at least once a day.
We were more than sisters, we were best friends. she knew everything about me, but was never judgmental. She listened and was responsive only when asked.
She passed at her job , and they did not miss her for two hours. I am angry, and lonely. Not sure I can get over this. The hole in my heart seems to be getting bigger, not going the other way.

thank you

thanks so much for the expressions of sympathy. I am still having trouble getting through the day. I have begun grief counseling. I realized I could not get through all this on my own. Most days I have felt suicidal and lost.
I lost my beloved pet a few days after this. Too much to bare alone.
When do you get over the anger? This is what I have been working on. SO angry that I have not been able to even pray.

me too

My sister Ruth passed March 6. I am in such pain. We lived together and I still look in her room expecting her to shout out that I should turn to TV station to see something stupid. She died after I took her to urgent care because she was having trouble breathing. Doctors said she had a heart attack from stress of the breathing tube. So angry and depressed, I considered suicide this morning.

your sis

Dorothy,
I'm so sorry about your sister. It's awful how that happened. My husband of 40 yrs died in a motorcycle accident in June. I have been looking for answers ever since; there are none. I'm very close to my sisters, one in particular. We have a friendship like you describe. It's so special, and it's a big loss. I wish I could say more or do more to help you. Please take care of yourself because she loved you so. Joann

Lost my big sis on Jan 3 2012

I feel your pain and your loss, I just lost my big sister (42) too. She died from a blood clot in her lung. I am devastated and cry every day. We were not terribly close and often fought, she was not easy to get on with (very sensitive) but she was still my big sister and we were getting closer. We were talking about stuff. She's gone now and left two little boys behind. God help them.

I'm sorry

I am sorry for your loss. This is very hard to lose such a close sister who was in you life in a positive way each and everyday.

I lost my fiance December 3rd, 2011. She got hit by a car. She was coming home to me from a work Christmas party. Safe to say our holidays were not happy this year.

It's been 6 weeks for me, I've been seeking help with a therapist and reading ALOT.
