Lost of a twin brother

by Ann Peterson
(Little Rock, Arkansas)

Well I lost my twin brother in the year of "1999". He was my best friend. He was always there for me no matter what. He died of a brainstem stroke secondary to kidney failure at the age of 35, so young. I felt so bad because at his time of need I could not help him, it was out of my hands. I feel like I dropped the ball and there was nothing I could do. He will be missed forever in my life. We grew up together playing, going to school and just day to day living. My emotions are so mixed by how do I get past this and move on. It's been 10 years but it seems like yesterday.

Twins
by: Anonymous

I don't know how it feels to have lost a mother, but I do know how it feels to have lost my twin brother and my older brother like 8 yrs later to a stroke. I feel like a little overwhelmed. I really don't know how my mother is feeling. Probably not so good. I can only pray and keep my thoughts on tomorrow. But I know they are in a better place. There's no pain there. To have had a twin and lose them is an emptiness that I can't explain. U know they once were there and now just an empty space. But I know I have to keep going forward. And I too am sorry for ur lost of ur mother, it could not have been easy.

LOST BROTHER

I am so sorry for your loss. I only have one brother and cannot stand the thought of losing him. We lost our mother when we were kids and became much closer because of her death. May your brother rest in peace
